				About the Practitioners

					Elizabeth M. Friedman, Ph.D.

Elizabeth Friedman, PhD, is a licensed clinical
psychologist with 30 years of experience. She received her
Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois Institute
of Psychology. Some of Liz's practical experiences included
working in the University of Chicago's inpatient psychiatry
					and inpatient gastroenterology departments providing
alternative therapies such as relaxation therapy and pain
management strategies. She also worked at other hospitals
and clinics around the Chicago area in adult
neuropsychological assessment and behavioral medicine at
Lutheran General Hospital and Westside V.A. Hospital, and in
pediatric neuropsychological assessment at the Rush
Neurobehavioral Clinic. In her private practice Liz has also
collaborated on students’ behalf with professional staff in
a number of elementary, middle and high schools in Chicago
and the surrounding areas as well as colleges nationwide.

					Liz currently provides individualized neuropsychological,
psychological, or educational evaluations to address a wide
range of questions and concerns that people experience.
Children, beginning at age 6, adolescents, and adults are
all able to participate in the process of testing. In
addition to clarifying areas of difficulty, Liz also works
to identify strengths and talents that each person can use
to work around or compensate for difficulties. After the
evaluation, Liz also makes herself available for follow-up
meetings with educational staff, other professionals, or for
phone consultations to trouble-shoot when necessary.

Liz also provides guided relaxation and mindfulness
strategies targeting stress reduction through small-group
					workshops or individually.

					CV available upon request.
